NAPLES, Fla. - Lab and golden retriever adult dogs and puppies will be going up for adoption after an eviction notice left dozens filthy and in need of care.

After a sheriff deputy serving the notice called Animal Services, owner Arthur Perkins surrendered the dogs living on his land. However, not all of them made it to a shelter.

A mother and her little died during birth. The rest are currently at shelters and foster homes across the county.

There are 20 adult dogs and 29 puppies. Some are in poor health.

Perkins, an experienced breeder, was praised by Animal Services for surrendering his dogs for adoption.

Some of the puppies and adults will be ready for adoption in less than a month. If you are interested in adopting any of these animals, you can call the Humane Society of Naples .
