WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Friday a recall of 91,000 "NEXT"-branded men's 26-inch hybrid bicycles from Bridgeway International of Naples, Fla.

Because of 11 reports of incidents with a faulty bicycle chain, which has caused lacerations, contusions and other injuries to the user, Walmart has been asked to stop selling the product.

The bicycles were sold by Walmart from February 2011 through July 2011 for about $100. The bicycles are red or orange. "Power X" and "Suspension" are printed on the frame. Model numbers LBH2611M and LBH2611M2 are included in this recall. The model number is located on the frame between the pedals.

Consumers are being asked to immediately stop using the recalled bicycle and contact the company at 877-934-3228 or visit the firm's website at www.powerxbike.com for a free repair.
