ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - It's one thing to have a small critter go through your trash.
An Orange County, Florida man caught something entirely different outside his third-floor apartment: a bear looking for a feast.
Every resident at the apartment complex has a bin outside to drop garbage in.
The bins are latched to keep raccoons out, but not bears.
"All of a sudden I heard this big banging noise," said Josh, who only wanted to give out his first name.
He then grabbed his camera to take photos and video of a bear.
The next morning, Josh said he found the spot in the wooded area next to his complex where the bear settled in for the feast.
Josh said he doesn't blame the bear for stopping by.
"It's not the bear's fault, it's us, we're encroaching on their habitat," Josh said.
He said he called state wildlife officials and was told the most dangerous bears are those that get accustomed to getting food from human area.
"This is the first bear I've seen in 30 years of living in Florida," Josh said.
Fish and Wildlife authorities have said they want to see the photos and video.
