WEST PALM BEACH, Fla - Colin, an abused and neglected bullmastiff mix, may now have a bright future ahead of him.
With the help of local volunteers, the one-year-old is getting some much needed TLC.
Last week, Colin was rescued. He has a skin condition and puncture marks all over his body. It's believed he may have been used as a bait dog in a fighting ring.
Meg Weinberger is one of the volunteers looking over Colin. "He's going to need a loving home, a forever home, as soon as he is done with all of his medical care," Weinberger stated. "He's being taken care of right now at Paws-2-Help and then he'll go to Big Dog Ranch Rescue in about two weeks."
Colin will be undergoing six months of additional treatment and therapy before being put up for adoption.
