BOCA RATON, FL--This isn't the way FAU quarterback Rusty Smith wanted to end his career. Today it was announced Smith will be out for the rest of the year after spraining the AC joint in his non throwing shoulder last Saturday against Middle Tennessee State. Jeff Van Camp will be the QB for the rest of the season for the Owls.
Smith may have surgery to repair the shoulder, and if he does it will be this Friday. Smith surpassed 10,000 yards in the game vs MTSU.
