BOCA RATON, FL--On second thought, I think not. FAU quarterback Rusty Smith has decided not to have surgery on his shoulder and instead will let the injury heal on its own. Smith would have had surgery this Friday, to fix the non-throwing shoulder on his left arm after injuring it during last week's game against Middle Tennessee State.
The Owls are 2-5 this year as they enter this weekend's game against Alabama-Birmingham.
