Lieber: Without Brown, the Dolphins are going down.

First, Chad Pennington, then Will Allen, now Ronnie Brown.  Any other key players for the Miami Dolphins want to get hurt? The number of injuries to the team continues to hit hard, after it was announced on Tuesday running back Ronnie Brown would not play this Thursday against Carolina.  Brown is nursing a foot injury after having it stepped on last Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Brown is going to see a specialist to see if there's more damage but x-rays were negative in regard to the foot being broken.  Regardless of it being broken or not, the Dolphins continue to breakdown, but still keep sticking around even with the buildup of hurt players.  Brown maybe the toughest one to lose however.  He essentially runs the "Wildcat" offense and is the best offensive weapon the Dolphins have.  The Dolphins seem to think Ricky Williams can carry the load and he could very well do it.  Williams was one of the best running backs in the NFL when he arrived to the Dolphins back in 2002, so the coaching staff has no doubt he can pick up the slack for Brown these last seven games and maybe be a workhouse over the course of the last half of the season.

Without Brown, the Dolphins have too much to overcome and they won't have enough to beat an improved Carolina team which beat Altanta last week at home.

The only thing you can say at this point is hope the Dolphins get healthier real quick.  Because they need it.
