Lieber: Crunch time for the Dolphins

Well if the Dolphins fail to have a good season, at least they can say they have the best pre-game in the NFL.  A Jimmy Buffett concert, an Orange Carpet with stars like Dwyane Wade, Venus and Serena Williams, Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, all walking in to see the game.  Heck even Tiger Woods was at the game last night, however he was rooting for the Colts, I guess.

Two games into the season, the Miami Dolphins are 0-4 for the fourth straight year and there's not a game on the schedule which looks as if they team has a break.  Going into the season the club already had the toughest schedule in the NFL.  Now with a road game this coming week against the Chargers in San Diego, is the Dolphins season already in limbo?

While the Chargers are once again off to a slow start under Norv Turner, next Sunday could be a great opportunity to cash in a get a win before the club starts the conference season the following week against the Bills.  After that, another circus event on October 12th against the Jets at home on Monday Night Football.

Is there reason to panic in Miami for the Fins?  I say no, not yet.  This team was 0-2 a year ago and lost to two teams who ended up with winning records.  The same can be said for this year and two teams who should make the post-season.

Talk to me in another four games and if at that point the team is 1-5 or 2-4, then we'll start wondering if this is a year which the Dolphins will be once again watching the post-season from their TV's.

Until then keep enjoying the concerts and parties outside Land Shark Stadium and oh yeah the football game too.
