Everyone wants to say the "U" is back. Well, if they win on Saturday night in Blacksburg against Virginia Tech, then they will definitely be back. Be back so much that I would favor them in every game they play for the rest of the season. Yes, I know they have Oklahoma after this but without a healthy Sam Bradford, the Canes would be the favorite in that contest at Land Shark Stadium.
If UM can pull off the victory on the road, they would be 3-0 with just that Oklahoma game as really the only game which could cause some people to get nervous about. They do have road games against Wake Forest and North Carolina, however they beat Va. Tech don't you think they would be able to take care of business in Chapel Hill and Winston Salem?
Now that leads me to the Gators. They haven't looked great this year, but as long as they keep winning, I don't see why they won't go undefeated either. The Gators will continue to ride the Tim Tebow horse as long as they need to. It would also make people to start chatting up a possible match up with UM in the BCS Championshiph Game.
How great would that be for the state of Florida? Or for that matter just South Florida? The Yankees-Mets World Series would have nothing on this game. It could very well be the biggest and greatest National Championship game ever, regardless of if it's just two teams from the same state.
Nonetheless, we still need to get past this weekend of games with victories for this to even be a remotely serious conversationi. So let's take it one step at a time before we get really serious about this.
But it's funny to think about it. Isn't it?
