The people who lived on Marco Island dodged a bullet with this Waterspout, which turned into a Tornado once it made it on land, These are dangerous storms. I have pictures I took off the Jensen Public Beach and along the Barrier Island, on Hutchinson Island and also come in through the St Lucie Inlet. I am the SKYWARN Coordiantor for Martin County and we have volunteeer Spotters, trained by the NWS in recognizing these type storms. They are beautiful while in the ocean picking up water. But once they make landfall, they become a Tornado. I appreciate this being on this site and Steve Weagle for reporting it. Please be aware of these storms and report anything you see like these pictures. ke4uei Martin County SKYWARN Coordinator #MAR - 012 www.gate.net/~ke4uei
