Have a FUN and SAFE Memorial Weekend on the water!

Last Update: 5/22/2009 10:34 am
Memorial Day traditionally marks the start of the recreational boating season for many boat owners and their families.  It has been projected that 3,400 recreational boaters and anglers nationwide will need some type of on-the-water assistance over the coming weekend. This is mostly due to the lack of proper preparation for the first big weekend out.  Since most household budgets are tight, it is not the right time to skip cut back on maintenance.

A few tips we have to offer include:  be sure to check your fire extinguishers and replace them if they are outdated, replace old flares, inspect your life jackets, and throw out old propane canisters.  Each of our marina facilities are designated Clean Marinas and can dispose of these items properly for you.

So, plan ahead...and have a fantastic weekend on the water!

Sincerely,
The Old Port Cove Holdings, Inc., Team
