BEVERLY HILLS, CA -- Hut Hut Hike! University of Florida student Kelly Carrington is Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for October 2008.
Miss October graduated in 2005 from Martin County High School in the town of Stuart, Florida. During high school she competitively played lacrosse and volleyball and also worked part-time at Stephen Bonanno Sandals, a local resort wear shop.
The sports-loving beauty claims the best thing about college is, of course, football season.
"People get dolled up for the games," explains the Gators fan, "Everyone tailgates. It’s the thing to do here."
But that doesn’t mean Miss October prefers cleats to high heels. "I can hang out with the guys but I am definitely a girlie girl," explains Kelly, "My favorite color is still pink." She also enjoys making clothes and has even sewn her own drapes. "Basically I should have gone to art school," she says."
Miss October explains that E!’s hit show, The Girls Next Door, changed her perception of Playboy. "I felt the series portrayed Playboy in a really girlie, fun, all-American way." So when a friend sent in her photos that lead to a test shoot, she was more then happy to see where it would go.
Kelly is currently living at the Playmate House and planning her future. She’d like to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, find the love of her life and start a family.
