WEST PALM BEACH -- Laughter and music are a big part of a little Ja-Marin life despite facing physical and mental problems.

Those sounds brighten the day for this "Thursday's Child" as he gets valuable help from some very dedicated people who want a "forever family" for him.

Ja-marin loves to laugh and listen to music.  J-J to his friends is four-years old. He suffered severe trauma that led to some of his problems.

This little guy with the big, bright eyes attends the "Potentials School" which is part of "ARC".  It’s where he gets therapy and lots of love.

J-J is not only in good hands at his school, but also at home with his foster mother, Savatrie Forbes.  J-J's been with her for a year and a half.  "J-J is a really special little boy.  He is very pleasant child.  He is delayed so he naturally is on a special diet.  He does have some braces that he wears.  He wears glasses be he has a really good disposition, a very pleasant child."

His teacher, Martha and therapist, Mary, and Mom have seen J-J make tremendous strides. "He's doing a lot more things than he was doing a year and a half ago.  This has even surprised you?  Yes, definitely.  In a good way?  In a good way, in a very good positive way."

It will take a very special "Forever Family" to care for J-J.  It would take commitment, care, and lots of love.  Says Savatrie, "If you get a family that has other children that are willing to adapt to his schedule, that's wonderful.  If we have a family where he's the only child, that would be great, too.  Our main focus for him is really getting an adequate, permanent home for him.  And it would take some very special people?  Yes, definitely."
