Hey saw your story on the news. I started months ago looking to build a wood boat. Then I saw a web site on wood strip kayaks and thought it would be cool to build one. then I saw wood strip sorf boards they were awesome. I have currently built a model of the kayak I want to build but I got side tracked with a ten foot long board, also a skim board. 90% of what I Have done has been from scrap wood.Its a labor of love and its was cool to see someone out there with the same passion for a functional piece of Art.
