Earth Day beach and reef cleanup

TEQUESTA, FL -- Students and volunteers in the Jupiter-Tequesta area are kicking off Earth Day celebrations.

The Jupiter Middle School Treehuggers have teamed up with EarthRehab, Scuba Works, and the Jupiter/Tequesta Junior Women's Club to host a beach clean-up at Coral Cove Beach Park.

The event runs from 9:00 a.m. - Noon, Saturday, April 18, 2009.

The park is located at 19450 S.R. 707 in Tequesta.

Volunteers are needed and community service hours will be given to those who need them.

The event is sponsored by the Great American Cleanup, EarthDay 2009, and Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful.
