WEST PALM BEACH, FL-- A salad might be healthy for you, but leafy greens can be risky to eat, according to the Center for Science in the Public Interest.
The CSPI claims leafy greens, eggs, and tuna and seven other foods account for nearly 40 percent of all food-borne outbreaks linked to FDA-regulated food.
According to the CSPI leafy greens were linked to 363 outbreaks involving more than 13,000 reported cases of illness.
Other items on the list include oysters, potatoes, cheese, ice cream, tomatoes, sprouts and berries.
