CORAL GABLES, FL-- The University of Miami campus in Coral Gables was on lockdown for a while Friday afternoon after reports surfaced of someone firing a bb gun, according to the school's newspaper.
The Miami Hurricane reported an emergency alert was dispatched around 2:42 p.m.
The all clear came about an hour later.
UM's website issued this statement: BB Gun Incident all clear. Subjects in costody. Resume normal operations. Thank you for your cooperation.
According to the university, a car with two men and two women allegedly fired a BB gun multiple times from a rolled down window.
The suspects were later apprehended.
It's not clear if anyone was struck or if the suspects are university students.
The university says the campus is safe and secure and has been re-opened.
