MIAMI, FL (AP) -- An autopsy has found that a Miami man found dead near tens of thousands of bees died of a heart attack.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reports that 61-year-old Jorge Luis Acosta was found on the roof of a three-story apartment building Tuesday morning. He was about 50 feet from a large hive that likely contained more than 50,000 bees. Acosta wore protective gear that covered only his head and upper body.

The medical examiner's office released the findings Wednesday, saying the death had nothing to do with the bees and that there was no evidence of bee stings on the body.

Neighbors say they had been having problems with a beehive for the past 18 months, but it's not clear why Acosta was working with the insects.
