INDIANTOWN, FL - The line formed long before Health Department workers sprayed the first vaccine into a little nose.
Hundreds of people came to Martin County's first swine flu vaccination clinic held Monday at Indiantown Middle School.
Workers closed the gates two hours ahead of schedule as the 800 nasal and injectable doses quickly dwindled.
Dean Mazariegos, a 15-year old student from South Fork High School, was one of the last people to get in line.
"I might as well get it now before they're all gone," he says.
Martin County Health Department Administrator Mark Chittum says people don't need to worry about supplies running out.
More doses are arriving daily.
The Martin County Health Department has more vaccination clinics scheduled for this week and next.
The vaccine will only be administered to kids and young adults, six months to 24 years old at the following locations:
Indian River and Okeechobee County Health Departments are still waiting to get enough vaccines to make a flu shot clinic feasible.
Both departments hope to hold clinics in early November.
