Port St. Lucie KFC robbery investigation

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL -- Two men wearing 'Jason' style Halloween masks robbed a KFC restaurant.

The incident happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. Monday, at the KFC located at 6632 U.S. Highway 1, near Kitterman Road.

Employees told investigators that one suspect waited outside while the other ran into the office and stole three bank bags from the safe.

Deputies say an employee followed the suspect out of the back door.

The suspect then fired a shot which did not hit anyone.

The suspect according to deputies fled north on US 1 in a small black SUV.
