PORT ST. LUCIE — A 25-year-old Port St. Lucie man is behind bars after authorities said he attempted to rape two women in a three-day period.

Port St. Lucie Police on Thursday charged Jean Marie Reginald Moise, of the 4900 block of Northwest Manville Drive, with two counts of attempted sexual battery, two counts of false imprisonment, simple battery, battery on an elderly person 65 or older and trespassing, Port St. Lucie Police arrest records show.

As of Friday, Moise was in St. Lucie County Jail in lieu of $321,000 bail.

On Tuesday a woman with her children and a niece were at Ravenswood Park when Moise attempted to rape her, according to a police report.

In the report, the woman said that when Moise approached her, she "thought there was something odd about him" and told him, "No."

Then, Moise allegedly grabbed her arm and she yelled, "No, stop," and told the children to get in the van, the report states.

Next, Moise reportedly grabbed the woman in a bear hug, but she elbowed him, the report states. He pushed her to the ground, and the woman kicked him in the groin and pushed him away before getting in the van. He rode away on his bicycle, the report states.

Moise told police he wanted to have sex with her in front of the children, but she hit him, the report states.

On Thursday, Moise attempted to rape a 71-year-old woman who was walking to a grocery store, according to a separate police report.

The woman said Moise was riding his bicycle when he got off it and attacked her. Moise allegedly grabbed the woman and knocked her on the ground, attempting to pull her into a wooded area, the report states. However, passersby heard her screams for help and subdued the man until police arrived, the report states

The elderly woman said Moise’s eyes looked "cold" and he had a "frightening look on his face."

The woman had cuts on her knees and bruising on her elbow and neck, according to the report.
