Port St. Lucie, FL – City employees are looking to help those less fortunate during this holiday season by holding a food drive.

From now until Monday, November 23rd, the Port St. Lucie Human Resources Department will be collecting boxes of macaroni and cheese and other non-perishables for delivery to the Treasure Coast Food Bank, which will pick up the donations just before Thanksgiving, according to a press release.

The city invites all residents to join in this important food drive, so if you are visiting City Hall before this Monday, why not bring a box of macaroni and cheese?

The average cost of a box is just 75 cents. The average number of people visiting just one of the food pantries in our area is 105. The numbers add up to a simple and inexpensive way to help others in our community.
