More arrests in copper wire theft

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL--St. Lucie County detectives have made two more arrests in connection with the recent theft of thousands of dollars in copper wire.

Willie Hunter of Fort Pierce, and his cousin from north Florida, were charged.  In the past three months, nearly two dozen complaints were called in from west of I-95 in St. Lucie County.  Detectives say Hunter and his cousin sold the stolen copper wire for more than $4,000 dollars at local scrap metal recycling centers.
