Rash of copper thefts in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, FL-- A Fort Pierce electrical contractor is dealing with a rash of copper thefts.

Thieves struck Matula Electric Company on Midway Road last month, earlier this week and Friday afternoon. The latest theft happened in a fenced-in area of company property.
 
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance photos taken during two of the thefts.

“If you know who stole the copper wire from either theft, please call the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office’s detectives at 772-462-3230 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-8477 (‘TIPS‘),” Sheriff Ken Mascara said in a written release.
