PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL--Detectives need your help identifying a man whom they're calling the 'split-deposit' bandit.

He is wanted because investigators say he is involved in identity theft and passing counterfeit checks.

Investigators believe he has hit multiple banks in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

They say he has been assuming the identities of multiple identity theft victims and is suspected of creating a split deposit. That is, he deposits counterfeit checks into the identity theft victim’s accounts and then withdraws a portion of the funds, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Bill Griffin at 688-4112 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
