Patient arrested after nurses threatened

WEST PALM BEACH, FL. -- John Rufolo is being held in custody at the Palm Beach County jail.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's office says that when Rufolo was being admitted to the West Boca Raton Medical Center he grabbed a syringe from a bed and took his own blood.

Rufolo has Hepatitis C.

Rufolo according to his arrest report did not want to be admitted and threatened nurses with the needle.

The patient according to PBSO then fled the hospital and was apprehended near State Road 7.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
