BOCA RATON, FL-- A Boca Raton family received the surprise of a lifetime when mom delivered her baby in the front seat of a car.
It all started when Debbie Gallo began feeling pain in her abdomen and wanted to go to the hospital. She never made it.
"I thought we were plenty close to the hospital," Tom Gallo, her husband said.
Before the Gallos knew it Debbie's water broke and baby Matthew was on the way.
"I said 'he's here' and he said 'no' and I said 'he's here!' " says Mom.
They pulled over to a gas station, just minutes from the hospital, and called 911.
The baby wasn't breathing but luckily paramedics arrived in time and got little Matthew breathing again.
The Gallos say they have heard of unexpected deliveries in unexpected places but never expected it to happen to them.
