MARTIN COUNTY, FL— A man serving seven years in prison for molesting a child is facing more charges after four more girls claimed to be his victims.
Robert Fehringer, 40, was convicted of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child less than 16 years old in Okeechobee County in 2007, state records show. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office charged him last week with four counts of sexual battery on a victim less than 12 years old.
The incidents happened several years ago when Fehringer lived in Hobe Sound, according to the warrant affidavit. Three of the girls are now 15 years old, while the fourth is 19, the Sheriff’s Office said.
One girl said she repeatedly was molested by Fehringer for five years, the affidavit states.
Fehringer is serving his sentence at the Avon Park Correctional Institute, state records show.
