Swimmer goes missing in Tequesta waters

TEQUESTA, FL -- A recovery operation is underway for a swimmer in the intracoastal.

A person was spotted swimming in the waters just west of Blowing Rock.

Two seperate witnesses reported to police they had not seen the swimmer since around 5:30 p.m., according to Tequesta Police.

Fire-Rescue performed a search of the area to located the person last seen behind the 100 block of Waterway Road.

The search was unfounded.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office will take over the case and will search tomorrow morning for the swimmer.
