PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL -- Families stroll down village streets. But look closely at the names of the store fronts... Soul Station, Noah's Arcade and Creator's Art Studio. They're not really stores, but classrooms for children during church service at Christ Fellowship.
Pastor Todd Mullins says the Palm Beach Gardens Church came up with the idea to make going to church a little more inviting. Mullins said, "So we wanted to create a space that would be engaging and fun and exciting. A place that they would want to run back to every week and learn about God and His love and His hope for their lives."
A room for the older kids looks more like a nightclub and a room for the younger ones has plenty of television screens to grab their attention. "God's Town" is open for children Wednesday and Saturday nights and Sunday mornings while their parents attend church services. "We all have struggles, we all go through places in life that are hard and we need people go through that with us and the church family is for that."
There's also a cafe, which is open to the public. "This new facility is all about serving our community so we have a cafe and a coffee shop and a place that serves meals through the week so we have that available for families to come in. This place will make a difference in every child's life. I believe that it's not only going to affect the children, it's going to affect the it's going to affect their homes and their families and their perspective on how they live life."
