STUART, FL — Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 26, in the election for Stuart city commissioner.
The November 3 election pits incumbent Commissioner Jeffrey Krauskopf, 59, against county lifeguard Jeff Callahan, 41.

Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers, more than 400 of the 9,587 registered voters in the city already have cast ballots for the election.
The county supervisor of elections office has received 411 of the 1,131 vote-at-home ballots — previously called absentee ballots.
Voters can cast ballots in person at the Martin County Supervisor of Elections Office, 135 S.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, daily between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Oct. 31.
There are no other early voting locations.
On Nov. 3, the six precinct locations that cover the city will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The election is expected to cost the city $23,000.
