Spitting leads to arrest

STUART — Police arrested a Palm City woman at Martin Memorial Hospital, 300 Hospital Ave. at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday after police said the woman, a patient, spit in the face of her caregiver.

Officer David Duran arrested Tenley A. Ryan, 20, of 2037 SW Heronwood Road, Palm City, charging her with battery on an emergency medical care provider, Stuart police Sgt. Martin J. Jacobson said in a news release.

Bond was set at $2,500.00.
