PALM CITY, FL--From cave paintings to graffiti letters, artists have been leaving their mark on walls for centuries. Now it’s your turn to paint the “walls” at the library. As part of the teen art graffiti mural project, you’ll develop your own style using black lines and neon colors.  Blend colors to create overlapping letters and hip hop figures that pop off the wall.  You’ll fill your panel with art words and themes to display individually or as part of a larger piece.

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in Teen Graffiti Art, a free program presented by Sue Carlson of Art Van Go, Inc., 3:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7 at the Cummings Library, 2551 SW Matheson Avenue, Palm City. Pre-registration required. Sign up at the Cummings Library or call 772-288-2551.  It's free but pre-registration is required.

For more information about the Martin County Library System, pick up a Library Connection at any branch library, call (772) 221-1403, or visit the library Web site at www.library.martin.fl.us.
