SEBASTIAN, FL -- Detectives with the Sebastian Police Department have completed a drug investigation that ended with two arrests. Police say Vincent Massimo and his girlfriend Dawn Parrish worked together to obtain prescription pain narcotics that include Oxycodone, Xanax, and Soma.
Police started the initial investigation after police say Parrish stole her mother and step-fathers credit cards. During that time detectives received information that Parrish and Massimo were at a pain clinic in Ft. Lauderdale obtaining the prescribed medications. Parrish stated to police that Massimo transported her down to the pain clinic and paid for half the prescriptions. Parrish stated that Massimo took control of all of the Oxycodone and put it in a safe, as well as traded some for a GPS.
Detectives went to the residence of Massimo and recovered the safe with cooperation of Massimo's parents. They were only able to recover 7.5 of the 252 pills of Oxycodone and the prescriptions for the Xanax and Soma.
Vincent Massimo was arrested with a charge of Trafficking Oxycodone and his bond is set at $100,000.
