GREENACRES, FL -- He's hard at work preparing to get back to work.
Dr. Dana Richard says, "It's exciting 'cause it's so close."
It's 'so close' to opening day of his new office - a place Richard claims he was forced to move to after his management company locked him out of his practice here on Okeechobee Blvd.
Now, at his new location in Greenacres, his locks below the bright blue 'medical' sign are in his control.
"Finally! It's been a whole month," Richard says.
In that month, the more than three-thousand patients he treats have stopped by his old office, hoping to find a way to get an appointment, a prescription refill or just access to their records.
Dr. Richard's phone hasn't stopped buzzing with e-mails and calls.
He didn't know what to tell them until now.
He exclaims, "Come on back, we're here!"
At 6635 Forest Hill Boulevard there's fresh carpet, paint and a start for Doctor Richard as he prepares to open a week from Monday.
Richard tells NewsChannel 5, "I'm ready to hussle every day like I usually do to see people- hopefully answer their needs and concerns. Can't wait!"
The office isn't scheduled to open until Monday, September 14th and patients have to make an appointment.
