WEST PALM BEACH, FL-- Police have released the dramatic 911 call of the attempted armed robbery and shooting at Danny's Shoe Repair.
Tuesday Juliana Catalfumo was shot by a gunman during a brazen daylight stickup.
In the 911 call released Friday Juliana is heard calling the emergency operator. Before the operator even responds, you can hear on the tape Juliana say, "I can't move."
Operator: 911
Caller: We had an armed robbery, I think I got shot. Danny's Shoe repair, 4203 Lake Avenue, West Palm Beach. Got shot, I'm injured. The shop, Danny's Shoe repair, 4203 Lake Avenue. Hurry.
Operator: I'm sending the police and medics, okay. We'll be right there. Stay on the phone with me. Where are you shot at, what part of the body?
Caller: I don't know I (phone disconnects)
After the connection is made again you hear:
Caller: He shot guns in the ceiling.
Operator: Okay, where are the suspects?
Caller: He went out the front door, I hit the ground.
Juliana went on to give a thorough description of the suspect.
Her father Danny was later heard on the phone talking about his daughter's injuries.
Father: She got hurt, my daughter's hurt, we need an ambulance now.
Operator: I have the medics on the way. The Police are on the way.
Later Danny is asked What happened.
Father: What happened, a man came in here, held up the place and shot my daughter.
Operator: Paramedics and police are on the way.
Alicks Saintil is being held in the Palm Beach County jail in connection with the crime.
He has been charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated batter to a person using a deadly weapon.
Police say two other suspects may have been involved in the robbery.
Doctors have said Juliana will make a full recovery.
