Tree trimmer employee shot to death on job

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, FL--Detectives are investigating the shooting death of an Asplundh tree trimming employee near 5100 block of Pat Place.

The shooting happened just before 3:30 p.m.

West Palm Beach Fire Rescue responded to calls of a possible electrocution after residents heard what sounded like popping noises in the area. Upon arrival, they located two workers with Asplundh tree trimming suffering from gunshots wounds instead.

One of those victims was pronounced deceased on scene while the other was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center.

Detectives are currently working on a composite sketch of the shooters.

The man at St. Mary's Medical Center is listed in critical condition.
