WEST PALM BEACH, FL-- With so many construction projects taking place in West Palm Beach, fire rescue crews are working to stay sharp in case of an emergency.

Technical rescue teams at station five used aerial baskets Thursday to practice saving
victims from high rise buildings.

They say the training is coming in handy.

"We've been seeing more and more of these situations because of all the construction of the high rises going on downtown and to be able to put somebody in a stokes basket who has been injured and to get them to the ground is crucial as far as getting them to definitive health care," said West Palm Beach Fire Rescue Captain Walter Barndt.

The captain says the city's changing skyline means constantly updating their response techniques.
