WEST PALM BEACH, FL--A seven-hour SWAT situation at 3012 Broadway has come to an end.

Two armed individuals were reportedly inside an apartment building in the 3000 block of Broadway, refusing to come out.

The incident started just before 4 p.m. at 3012 Broadway.

Police say the two men in question are believe to have committed a carjacking earlier in the day in Riviera Beach at the 100 Block of W 37th Street.

A search warrant was issued so that law enforcement could make entry to the apartment that is rented to one of the suspects.

The victim in that carjacking was not injured.

SWAT team members entered an apartment at 10 p.m. When they entered, no one was found inside.

Police say the victim positively identified one of the suspects in the carjacking and police now have probable cause to arrest that individual, according to officials.

Detectives entered the apartment to collect evidence so they use that to arrest and prosecute the other individual involved.

Police were led to this apartment complex because of the credible information they received from a tipster and one of the suspects' who was positively identifed's car was seen outside, said a Commander Leonard Mitchell of WPBPD.

Commander Mitchell told NewsChannel 5 that they believe the two suspects are still in the area.
