WEST PALM BEACH, FL  -- A new addition to downtown West Palm Beach is getting set to re-open.

Designed to be a boaters paradise destination, the new Palm Harbor Marina will be a state of the art facility with all the comforts of home.

John Smundin is the Marina Manager and says "wireless internet, cable television, telephone line at the dock, in slip pump out services, well have fuel at the marina"

The $25 million renovation compliments the newly designed downtown waterfront by adding some luxury for the big toys.

The new Palm Harbor Marina can accommodate 180 boats ranging in size from 50-250 feet.

Smundin adds, "This marine facility will enable larger boats that were previously unable to come to this area this will add more boat slips to the are so they can come to the palm beaches versus Broward and Dade counties."

And with more luxury boaters coming downtown, could their spending money be far behind?

"With our location in the heart of the Palm Beaches we feel confident that well draw large amounts of boaters to the area and it will compliment the West Palm Beach and Palm Beach area as they will patronize the local businesses. "
predicts Smundin.

Within walking distance to the Clematis and Palm Beach restaurants and shops, it'll give boaters a unique
option to visit, and a much needed boost to local businesses.

Smundin says "We hope to make the West Palm Beach area a destination for all boaters."
