WEST PALM BEACH, FL --The countdown has begun until the end of the "Oprah Winfrey Show." "I was kind of surprised because she is such a great host, for her leaving is not going to be the same," said William Pineiro.
But until that day in 2011, viewers say Winfrey is still the queen of daytime TV.
Some were shocked that after 25 years coming into millions of living rooms, the popular talk show host decided was time to move on.
"I didn't expect her to be leaving so soon, she is such a hit, so many people watch her show, my mom loves her, she's going to be really sad to hear that," said Alec Lefeld.
The show has topped the charts and had its finger on the cultural pulse of the nation for years, with celebrity "Gets," and generous giveaways.
Now there is a lot of speculation about Winfrey's future plans.
Experts say one is for sure, fans have not seen the last of Winfrey on the small screen.
"You know what, she's been on TV for a while and I honestly think it’s going to pave the way for a lot of other people like Rachel Ray and Doc. Oz," said Alkah Sharma.
"It is pretty unfortunate that she is leaving, but she left a legacy and she will be remembered and probably move on to bigger and better things," said Taylor Olowin.
The question on everyone’s mind is where will Oprah end up next?
She has her network O-W-N, but it has yet to be decided whether she will start her own show on that network.
