WEST PALM BEACH, FL--Investigators with West Palm Beach Fire Rescue are trying to determine the cause of a fire at a small auto lot this morning.
Fire rescue crews responded to Kol Auto Sales Incorporated on Broadway where a blaze started inside the office around 8:20 a.m.
They arrived to find flames billowing out of the office building. Firefighters quickly put out the blaze, but the damage had already been done.
The office suffered heavy smoke and water damage, and computers, printers and paperwork were charred. The cars for sale in the lot weren't damaged. Their keys are locked up in a fire-proof safe inside the office.
Owner Kevin Koltz doesn't have any reason to believe someone would have intentionally set his office on fire. But he says if it was arson, he's confident the person who did it will get caught.
"I'm sure that justice will prevail... and there are cameras that are not damaged that will show if anybody did anything here," said Koltz.
Investigators will study the surveillance video to see if the fire was deliberately set.
