WELLINGTON, FL-- Hundreds of students were allowed to gather in the courtyard of Wellington High School to remember their classmate, Matthew Kornya.

The 15-year-old was killed in an early morning crash Saturday while driving on Greentree Trail, south of Southern Boulevard.

Kornya was driving his father's car on a learner's permit.  His friend- 16-year-old Michael McMahon was in the passenger seat. He survived the crash with minor injuries.

Classmates said prayers and spoke about their memories of Kornya, an honor student who was very popular.

Many students wore red because it was Matthew's favorite color.

The school called in an additional six psychologists to help students deal with the loss.

The viewing has been moved to the Wellington Christian School Auditorium and is scheduled for Wednesday FROM 6-8 p.m.
