WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- Christopher Walters threatened to bring a bang for his bucks.
The Greenacres man is accused of robbing the Wachovia Bank on Forest Hill Blvd. in Palm Springs Tuesday.
Walter's arrest report says that he also fits the description of the person who tried to rob the SunTrust Bank also on Forest Hill Blvd.
Bomb threats were also made to Greenacres Elementary School and Palm Beach Community College in Lake Worth.
Detectives from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office say the bomb threats were phoned in from the Mobil gas station at Forrest Hill Blvd and Jog Road, across the street from the SunTrust Bank.
The PBSO bomb squad responded to both schools and the Wachovia Bank.
Forest Hill Blvd was closed for several hours near Military Trail after the suspect in the Wachovia robbery told bank teller he left a bomb there.
No explosives were found at any of the locations.
Walters was arrested by the Greenacres police Tuesday afternoon after he fired a shot into the wall of an apartment in the Island Shores Apartment complex located off of Jog Road.
