MANALAPAN, FL -- Police are investigating a stabbing near the Ritz-Carlton 5-star resort in Manalapan at 100 S. Ocean Blvd.
According to Fire-Rescue officials, two people were transported with injuries. One was seriously injured with stab wounds and airlifted to Delray Beach Trauma Center.
An event being held inside of the lavish resort Monday night was self-proclaimed Holocaust denier and controversial author, David Irving.
According to David Irving's website, Irving held a book tour stop in Manalapan to promote his new book "Banged Up."
A Ritz-Carlton spokeswoman said that there was a catered event being held in a conference hall when an incident occurred outside of the resort just after 9 p.m.
Fire-Rescue confirms the stabbing victim was found in front of the Ritz-Carlton Resort, the second patient was located off the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton across Ocean Blvd.
It is unknown if the altercation between the two were related to the event.
