Store clerk shot dead by masked men

UPDATE: LAKE WORTH, FL -- Palm Beach County Sheriff's detectives are investigating the shooting death of a store clerk who was gunned down late Friday night by two masked men while working at the Los Cunaos Grocery store just south of 10th Avenue North.

The suspects, described as black teenaged juveniles, tried to rob the cashier's counter when the victim and the gunmen began pushing and shoving each other, according to the PBSO news release.

Authorities say the clerk was shot several times with a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol while trying to chase down the suspects.

The victim was taken by helicopter to Delray Medical Center where he died. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.



LAKE WORTH, FL -- Fire-Rescue officials airlifted an adult male to a trauma center after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds just outside of a grocery store.
 
The shooting happened at the 800 block of Dixie Highway around 9:45 p.m. According to The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, two masked men armed with guns ran into the store attempting to rob it.

The suspects then fled with the clerk chasing after them. The clerk was then shot several times by one of the suspects.

Dixie Highway was shut in the area while Sheriff's deputies searched for the shooters.

The victim was airlifted to Delray Beach Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
