Evacuation Zones: Martin County
Category 1 & 2 Hurricanes: ORANGE IN ABOVE MAP
  • All areas mentioned for Tropical Storm evacuation will be ordered to evacuate.
Category 3 & 4 Hurricanes: RED IN ABOVE MAP
  • Include all areas ordered to evacuate for Tropical Storm, Category ONE and TWO hurricanes, and recommend evacuation from additional low-lying areas that are within three-quarters of a mile of county waterways.
  • These areaas include most residents living in North River Shores, Palm City - east of Mapp Road, the City of Stuart, the Tropical Farm area west of Kanner Highway, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound - east of A1A, South County - east of US1/Federal Highway and post areas of Turtle Creek, Little Club, Rivers Edge, Jupiter River Estates, Wood Haven, River Bend and Heritage Oaks.
Category 5 Hurricanes: RED IN ABOVE MAP
  • All areas ordered or recommended for evacuation during Tropical Storms, Catergory ONE, TWO, THREE, and FOUR Hurricane, including low-lying * areas within one mile of County waterways.
  • These areas include residents of North River Shores, Rio, Jensen Beach, City of Stuart, Palm City, Port Salerno, Tropical Farms, Hobe Sound and South County.

* Low-lying means those areas in Martin County which experience local flooding due to heavy rainfall, and are less than 10 feet above sea level.

Due to the extensive damage from previous hurricanes, please be advised that shelter locations may have changed. Go to your local Red Cross website for a complete listing and advisories.
