Roxanne Stein reports on a breakthrough procedure that has patients saying good-bye dentures, hello implants--and teeth in an hour.
Seldom do you hear this: "I'm excited to go to the dentist."
Quite a statement for Renee Musser--especially since she's quite familiar with the dentist chair.
"I've literally lived without teeth in the bottom."
"It's hard..it's very embarrassing.." Renee could have dentures..or implants..in the past, implants have involved painful surgery.
"Going to have sinus lifts, bone lifts-bone from the hip or leg, put in around the sinus and jaws because they can't keep their implants in.."

It starts with a 20 second CT scan. "CT scan bone comes up on the computer and we can measure everything within 2/10's of a mm."
"This image is sent to a european company and within a month it sends back this mold..its' used as a guide by an oral surgeon to perform teeth in an hour."
"This is an image of where the implants are gonna go and so this is virtual image of placing implants on computer."
Renee is under anesthesia for the procedure while an oral surgeon places the guide..and then, Dr. Maxson places the bridge.. In minutes, her bridge is in ...and today, Renee is all smiles.. "I feel awesome.."
A mouthful of pearly whites..all, in less than an hour.

This is expensive..and it isn't covered by insurance..
The price: 25 thousand dollars-but the cost..is about half the price of what it cost when it took a year to have dental implants..60 minutes, compared to a year..and half the cost..and you can go out to dinner that night..
