STUART, FL -- It's been a tough few months for Aubrey Opdyke's family.  Opdyke fell into a coma after contracting the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, over the 4th of July holiday.

Opdyke said, "It just felt like a little cold."

Opdyke, who was pregnant, would remain in a coma for more than three weeks.  During that time, she lost the baby.  Little Parker was delivered during emergency surgery.

Opdyke says while that has been tough, seeing her 4 year-old daughter Hope gives her hope and strength.

"I love it, loving having her come by. "I feel better every day."

Opdyke has just strated physical therapy at a Riviera Beach hospital and this week, stood by herself for 30 seconds. There's hope that she can have her trach tube removed soon and get around on a walker.

Mother Joanne Felker, who lives in Stuart, is thrilled with her daughter's progress.

"She's doing great. The doctors at Wellington were praying for her. One doctor stopped me in the elevator and pointed up and said he's responsible for this miracle."

Felker says another miracle is her rose bush, which only blooms on special occasions.  She had a freshly clipped pink one to bring to her daughter.  Felker adds Aubrey is just beginning to understand the magnitude of what she's done.

"She's starting reading the articles, she gasps and I say 'uh-huh'. Google your name when you get out you know."

Aubrey has been overwhelmed by the support.

"I feel blessed to have so many friends and family who care so much about me."

One of the biggest bright spots of the week was when Opdyke's daughter Hope told her class that her mommy is talking loud again.
