WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The government is warning parents about some baby garments that have been
associated with a strange rash on children.
The outfits with tagless labels made by Carter's Inc. have caused some 400 babies to develop rashes on their backs.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says parents should stop putting the clothes on children if they develop a rash...but the agency did not issue a recall.
The warning applies to about 110-million garments from the Fall 2007 line. The clothes were sold at carter's stores and at national retail and department stores and could still be on store shelves.
